About Bronte
Hello, I’m Bronte
I’m a counsellor in private practice based in Australia, working with clients across the country via secure telehealth. My work is grounded in Compassionate Inquiry — the trauma-informed therapeutic approach developed by Dr Gabor Maté — which I completed certification in June 2025.
Before training in Compassionate Inquiry, I drew (and still draw) on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Mindfulness Self-Compassion. What I’ve found is that beneath the techniques, what most people are looking for is a relationship in which they feel genuinely met — without judgment, without being rushed, and without having to perform wellness.
How I Work
Sessions are 60 minutes, conducted via secure video. I work with adults navigating addiction, grief and loss, life transitions, expatriate identity, and the kind of long-running emotional patterns that talking alone hasn’t quite resolved. Many of my clients are living overseas or in regional Australia and find telehealth a more sustainable way to engage with therapy.
